Crystal first came across my work on Instagram…and as it turned out, I already knew her fiancee Mathew from many years ago when we collaborated on a film project together!  So, it was a small world moment for them when Mathew saw that she was checking out my work on IG.

I was thrilled with Crystal and Mathew chose to hire me for their wedding day.  We had some serious laughs during their spring engagement session, and I knew that we would be the perfect fit for their upcoming wedding day!

Wedding days tend to appear suddenly out of nowhere – even when last you checked it was about a year away – and such was the case with Crystal and Mathew…all of a sudden, it was TIME!  I was so excited to spend the day with these two.

My assistant Meris and I split our time with me photographing Crystal’s preparation, and she with Mathew.  We then convened on the bridge across from the historic Arlington Hotel in Paris for their first look.  I loved how as Crystal was approaching, Mathew made gestures towards her direction for the camera, while Crystal danced around behind him in her dress – it was hilarious and a perfect example of the dynamic between these two!

After the first look, we met up with the bridal party for photos at the nearby Penmarvian, a beautiful historic retirement home that Crystal had found during her research for photography spots. I would have never thought to check out a retirement home, but in her resourcefulness Crystal did – and wow am I glad! The beautiful green grounds, old growth trees, and the historic exterior of the home were perfect for photographs.

The ceremony and reception both took place across from the Arlington at the Dominion Telegraph Events Centre – another beautiful historic building, this time with gorgeous exposed brick walls in the interior. This was the space for their gorgeous reception as well!

It was truly an incredible day and I am so honoured to have been by Crystal and Mathew’s side to capture it!

“Even if you’ve never met her before, by the end of your wedding, Ema is one of those people that will likely be as much a guest as your photographer.  If you want someone who’s warm, professional, and will have just as much fun as you do, Ema’s your person.  Oh, did we mention that the photos are also exceptional!?  Ema truly captured the true love and genuine emotion that Mathew and I express to each other daily and made our photos so easy to take, it just felt like any other day – just, a lot prettier!” – Crystal

Earth to Table The Farm Wedding Photography

Rachel and I first met quite some time ago through mutual friends, and when she and Mike became engaged, I was SO excited to be asked to be their photographer!  We photographed their engagement session during the fall colours at Victoria Park in Elora, and it was beautiful.

Rachel and Mike’s gorgeous wedding took place at Earth to Table: The Farm in Millgrove, Ontario.  We started their big day with myself photographing Rachel’s preparation, while my wonderful secondary Avan spent time with Mike.  We then all met at the venue for their emotional first look, followed by bridal party photography and the ceremony.  The venue was stunningly decorated, with incredible florals and decor.  Each table number was marked with one of her drawings – she is truly an incredible artist, whose work has become incredibly popular on Instagram!

During the reception, Avan and I popped outside with Rachel and Mike around sunset for some lovely photos in a field nearby.  I especially love the photo of them running down the country lane – so candid and romantic!

I had such a great time with these two and am so honoured to have been a small part of their big day!

Rachel and Mike’s beautiful fall engagement photoshoot took place near the Elora Gorge at Victoria Park, overlooking the beautiful river during the peak of fall colour.  It was a stunning albeit chilly fall day.  I loved the laughs we shared and the photos we captured, and I’m so excited to photograph their wedding at Earth to Table: The Farm!

When Fallon and Lio first contacting me about their wedding day, I was very excited to meet them.  I could tell through their emails that they had a great energy about them – this was only further confirmed during our first video meeting.  They were all smiles and laughs and were just WONDERFUL!

Our engagement photoshoot took place in the fall at the base of the Scarborough Bluffs in Toronto – and incredible location with clay cliffs stretching up over the Lake Ontario shoreline.  My initial impression of these two lovebirds was spot on – they truly were all smiles and laughs and bubbly positivity!  I loved the photos that we captured at their session – they are still some of my favourite to date!

Fallon and Lio’s wedding day took place at the Toronto Botanical Garden – an incredible spot for a day visit, let alone a gorgeous wedding!  We started the day with Fallon’s preparation, followed by their emotional first look at one of the Garden’s bridges. I’ve NEVER seen a groom jump two feet in the air and then burst into happy tears upon seeing his bride – but that’s what Lio did, and I have to admit, it made me emotional as well!

Their first look was followed by our photoshoot, then their beautiful ceremony, family photos, bridal party photos, and finally the reception.

I am so honoured to have been by Fallon and Lio’s side on their perfect day!

As we were planning our wedding, we booked a photographer that fit our budget but quickly realized it was not the the person we wanted. My wife found Ema and showed me her work. We both were stunned by the quality of her work. Next thing you know we had a quick Skype chat with her and immediately hit it off.  We booked her for our engagement shoot and when we got the picture? What a bliss it was. We still use those pictures today.

Come the wedding day, Ema was on time, funny, very professional and playful all at the same time. It just feels great to work with her.  She truly showed her passion for photography. I remember thinking I can’t wait to see those pictures. We just got them yesterday! Only one word: Wooooow. I was so happy with the detailed work, I picked up my phone to thank her. She made our wedding literally the most memorable day of our life.

I recommended her to a coworker who also attended our wedding and i am writing to tell you: if you looking for a great photographer, quality work, passionate and professionalism, don’t think twice, Book Ema Wedding Co. – you will not regret it.” – Lio

Katarina’s sister and I went to University together, so when Katarina and Aleks reached out to me for their wedding photography, I was extra excited! We set up a video call and lo and behold, Aleks and I recognized each other from the gym I used to go to!  It was a small world moment – one of many I have had over the years!

These two love birds were married at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Kitchener, with their reception taking place next door at the associated banquet hall.  I was excited to photograph another Serbian wedding, as I speak the language and enjoy not only getting a chance to practice it, but to also be part of some of my cultural festivities!

Katarina and Aleks’ wedding photography took place at nearby Victoria Park in Kitchener.  I had a great time working with this fun, boisterous group!

I first met Sam at her sister’s wedding the previous year – she was one of the MC’s and she was HILARIOUS!

When I received an email from her saying she and her partner Laura were now engaged and interested in booking me for their wedding and engagement photography, I was ecstatic!  We met at the University of Guelph Arboretum during the peak of the fall colour to capture their fun, affectionate engagement session.  I love these photos and cannot wait to see them next fall for their beautiful wedding!

Lindsey and Neil’s big day took place at St. Mary’s Golf Club, on a beautiful, sunny day this past summer!

The big day started with quick stops at both Neil and Lindsey’s respective spots for preparation photos, followed by their emotional ceremony on the lovely golf course grounds.  The ceremony was followed by family photos and bridal party photos on the golf course grounds.  This bridal party group was SO MUCH FUN! Many laughs were had.

Lindsey and Neil were so lovely and easy to work with, and I LOVE the images that we captured on their big day!

Vicki and Mike’s gorgeous wedding took place at The Tannery in Kitchener!

I had such a great time working with this lovely couple.  We started with photography of Vicki’s preparation, followed a by a first look at one of the historic buildings in central Kitchener.  It was a rainy day so we had to adjust our timeline a bit to make use of the sunshine between the spurts of rain.  You’d never know from these photos that we had that kind of weather!

Our bridal party photoshoot took place nearby at beautiful Victoria Park, followed by the ceremony and reception at the Tannery! So much fun!

This past summer I was fortunate to work with the extremely lovely Maureen and James!

Maureen and James created a gorgeous wedding day for themselves and their family and friends at Burnside Farms in Acton, Ontario.  Their charming ceremony took place at Hillsburg Baptist Church.

We started the day at Maureen’s family’s home with her preparation photos. When James and his side arrived, we did an adorable first look on the property, then proceeded to the Farm for photography prior to their ceremony.  We then regrouped back at the farm for family photography and for their AMAZINGLY FUN reception! We were fortunate with a beautiful sunny day, so we were able to capture some sunset photos as well.

I had a great time with these two lovebirds!

University of Western Ontario Engagement Photography | Aurie + Mitch

Aurie & Mitch's Engagement

University of Western Ontario Engagement Photography

Mitch and Aurie’s engagement session took place at the iconic campus of Western University, where they had met.  The gorgeous classic stone buildings on campus were a perfect backdrop for the engagement photos…and we were lucky that we were also able to take some photos inside one of the beautiful auditoriums where they had attended lectures!

I absolutely adore when couples incorporate the story of how they met into their engagement and wedding photos to truly tell their love story!

These two were an absolute delight to work with and I cannot wait for their wedding day!
