Kitchener Waterloo Wedding Photographer

Taylor and Mike’s Whistle Bear wedding photography took place on a perfect, sunny day in late August.  When I arrived at the golf club, I met up with Taylor and her bridesmaids who were just about finished with their preparation prior to the ceremony.  Taylor’s gorgeous wedding dress was hung elegantly in the window of the Forestview Room, and her flowers and details were ready to be photographed! Once the dress was on, Taylor had an emotional first look with her bridesmaids – and then it was time for the ceremony in the Garden Chapel.  Their touching ceremony was followed by family and bridal party photos on the beautiful Whistle Bear grounds, with stunning sunset photos later in the evening during golden hour.

I had a wonderful time working with this very sweet couple!

London Ontario Wedding Photographer

I’ve been fortunate to work with countless wonderful couples over the last 15 years of my wedding photography career. Sometimes, a couple reaches out to you and in their emails alone exude such kindness, grace, and positivity that I just KNOW we’re going to have an exquisite time working together! When I first received an email from Han, it was so wonderfully obvious that she was such a lovely person – I couldn’t wait to meet her and Linjie! We had a whimsical winter engagement photoshoot and sure enough – my suspicions that they were an incredible couple were confirmed. I was so excited for their wedding day to arrive!

And finally, it did! Han and Linjie’s wedding took place on campus at Western University in London, Ontario, where they had met, on a beautiful (and very hot!) spring day in May.  We started the day’s wedding photography with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in their home with their parents, followed by a first look with Han in her wedding dress on campus at the University.  We took bridal party and couples’ photos around the lovely campus followed by their touching, emotional ceremony at the Beryl Ivey Garden.  We then captured lots of great family photos in front of the iconic University College building, and had a lovely reception in the IGAB building.  Western turned out to be a fantastic wedding venue, especially since it was so meaningful to Han and Linjie.  I’m truly honoured to have worked with them and I hope that we see each other again some day!!

Miltos and Chantel wanted an intimate microwedding for the marriage celebration! They only required a few hours of photography, and we achieved many great photos in that time.  Here is a small selection of my favourite photos from their wedding day. Miltos and Chantel were married at St Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Kitchener, followed by family and bridal party photos at Rockway Gardens.  Their wedding took place during peak spring blossom season which lent itself to some very whimsical photos!

Contact us and we’d be happy to discuss your microwedding and elopement photography needs 🙂

Elora Ontario Wedding Photographer

Raven and I first worked together over ten years ago through our mutual work with The Gemini Agency in Kitchener – and I was so delighted when after Eric’s proposal, she reached out to me for her wedding and engagement photography!  Raven and Eric love the charming town of  Elora, and wanted their engagement photography to take place around the historic Elora Mill, and the iconic Elora Gorge!  It was a beautiful autumn day with the fall colours in full swing at Victoria Park. Just perfection! We had a wonderful time capturing these engagement photos and I couldn’t wait to see them again on their wedding day!

Send me a message and let’s chat about your engagement and wedding photography 🙂

Elora Mill Autumn Wedding | Sarah + Sam

Elora Mill Autumn Wedding | Sarah + Sam

Elora Ontario Wedding Photography

Over the last nearly 15 years, I’ve been truly fortunate to have worked with countless wonderful couples who were just a dream to work with.  I often find myself in disbelief that this is in fact, my actual career! When Sarah and Sam first reached out to me, I had an immediate feeling that they would be a couple who also made me feel that deep gratitude for the meaningful work that we as wedding photographers do. Within minutes of meeting for their engagement session, I knew I was right!

I was super excited to photograph their wedding day, and on the big day, I was accompanied by my secondary photographer David, who met up with Sam for his preparation photos, while I photographed Sarah’s prep.  David and I then arranged for their first look in Elora’s Victoria Park, where Sam and Sarah saw each other first the first time that day.  I love that they chose to share personal wedding vows with each other prior to the ceremony.  Even though I stayed out of earshot so that the moment could be theirs alone, I found myself feeling a bit emotional seeing how much love they have for one another.

The first look was followed by some family photos as well as a photoshoot for the bride and groom. We then proceeded to the Foundry Building for their lovely ceremony, followed by more family photos and some cute evening sun photos of Sam and Sarah along the bridge!

Even though our photography coverage time came to a close fairly early into the reception, David and I could see that it would be a super fun night for Sarah and Sam, and all their amazing guests.  It was truly fantastic working with them and the photos we created are a dream!

Dark Horse Estates Winery Wedding | Alyssa + Derek

Dark Horse Estates Winery Wedding | Alyssa + Derek

Grand Bend Wedding Photography

Alyssa and Derek’s beautiful wedding took place at Dark Horse Estates Winery on a lovely sunny day in Grand Bend. It was a few years ago when Alyssa and Derek first contacted me about their wedding.  We photographed their fun fall engagement photoshoot in Guelph, but then like many couples, they were forced to reschedule their wedding day.  When their day finally arrived, I was so excited! I was extra excited since Alyssa and Derek had informed me that they were big Harry Potter fans, and would be having a “nerd” themed wedding. Yes please!

When their wedding day finally arrived, I was fortunate to be accompanied by my wonderful and talented associate photographer Kasia.  We always have a great time working together! Kasia started the day with Derek and his groomsmen, while I met up with Alyssa and her bridesmaids for their preparation photos.

The bridal party prep was followed by a touching first look behind the winery, and a bridal party photoshoot.  I love the photo of Alyssa using “The Force” on the groomsmen!

During cocktail hour, this clever couple hired a magician to entertain guests with some very cool card tricks.  In all our combined years as photographers, Kasia and I had never seen a magician at a wedding – it was a great idea that I hope catches on!

Finally, during the reception, we snuck out for some dramatic sunset photos and photos in the wine cellar.

It was truly a wonderful day and Kasia and I are honoured to have been Alyssa and Derek’s photographers!

Melrose United Church Wedding | C-Hotel by Carmen’s Wedding Reception

When James and Courtney first contacted me about their wedding day, I could tell right away that they would be a super fun couple to work with! Our first in person meeting was for their engagement session at Princess Point in Hamilton – one of their favourite places to spend quality time together. Their love for one another was palpable during that photoshoot, and I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding day!

When the big day finally arrived, I met with James and Courtney at Melrose United Church, an iconic stone church in the city’s southwest end. James and Courtney got ready in different locations within the church, and before their ceremony they held hands with their backs to one another in order to calm their nerves and have a quiet moment together before seeing each other for the first time across the aisle.  In 15 years of wedding photography this was the first time I had seen a couple do this and it was SO SWEET!

Their emotional ceremony was followed by family photos and bride and groom portraits on the church grounds, which were adorned in the autumn colours!

Courtney and James’ wedding reception took place at the nearby C-Hotel by Carmen’s, where we captured some fun nighttime photos outside with the the unique hotel facade!

I had such an amazing time getting to know and to work with this lovely couple, and I can’t wait to see them again sometime!

Bruce County Farm Wedding Photograhper

Raven and I first met many years ago through our mutual work with The Gemini Agency, and I was both honoured and delighted when she invited me to be her wedding photographer!  I absolutely love farm and country weddings and I was excited to make my way up to Bruce County to be her and Eric’s wedding photographer!

When the big day finally arrived, we met at Raven’s family’s property and started with some getting ready photos.  We had to be stealth such that we could capture some photos of the bridesmaids with Raven, and the groomsmen with Eric, all without Raven and Eric seeing each other prior to their beautiful outdoor ceremony.  The touching ceremony was followed by a champagne toast, family photos, more photos of the bridal party, and of course — photos of Raven and Eric as husband and wife!

I kept an eye on the sunset and snuck the bride and groom out for some GORGEOUS sunset photos which I absolutely love! The reception was a blast — literally, with fireworks!

Everything about Raven and Eric’s Bruce County farm wedding was perfection and I can’t wait to see them again!

KW Guelph St. Jacobs Elopement Photographer

Christina and Trevor are a fun-loving couple who wanted to celebrate their marriage with a microwedding elopement and their closest family and friends.  They rented a beautiful airbnb in St. Jacobs Ontario overlooking the river.  Leading up to their big day, we had a number of snowstorms and some very frigid weather!  It was as though the weather gods were looking out for us, however, because when their wedding day arrived it had warmed up a bit AND we were blessed with freshly-fallen snow from the day prior for our photos.  I had such a great time photographing this wonderful couple and couldn’t get enough snuggles from their beautiful, friendly golden retriever pup!

I’ve noticed that microweddings and elopements have been becoming increasingly popular over the last few years.  The pace and intimacy of smaller events make for great candid photography!

Contact us and we’d be happy to discuss your microwedding and elopement photography needs 🙂

Snowy Winter Engagement Photography| Han + Linjie

Snowy Winter Engagement Photoshoot | Han + Linjie

University of Guelph Winter Arboretum Engagement

Han and Linjie wanted a snowy winter engagement photoshoot to celebrate their upcoming wedding! Winter photoshoots can be tricky…ideally you want fresh snow, but it can’t be snowing too heavily as that results in wet hair, faces, and camera equipment.  You want it to be cold enough for the snow to stay on the ground, but not so cold that noses, hands, and ears are red.  It can be a lot to ask in the winter months! Thankfully, we were graced with the perfect combination of factors for this photoshoot and had so much fun working together! I can’t wait for their wedding day!

Send me a message and I’d be happy to chat about your engagement and wedding photography needs!
