When Melisa first contacted me about her upcoming wedding to Stewart, it was obvious in her emails that she was a big sweetheart!

Melisa loved the idea of a lavender farm for their engagement session and I was ecstatic.  I had been dying to do a shoot at one of our local farms and was thrilled that I would finally have a chance to do so!  We had a phenomenal time at their summer engagement session, with lots of laughs, and I couldn’t help but look forward to their wedding day.

Their beautiful wedding took place at The Old Mill in Toronto, with their emotional ceremony taking place in the Mill’s chapel.  After the ceremony we captured a group photo of their entire family on the grand staircase, followed by family and bridal party photography outside in the court yard and in front of the venue itself.  We captured a beautiful variety of shots, with lots of fun candids!

I had a wonderful time with Melisa and Stewart! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness together!

“Ema was a wonderful photographer for our wedding. She was always professional, valued our input, and was a blast to work with. She has a fun loving personality and was great with all of our family and friends throughout the day and she managed to capture some great photos from prep, ceremony, and reception.  She is top notch and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!” – Melisa

Maryse and Matt celebrating their beautiful fall wedding day at the Aberfoyle Mill in Puslinch, Ontario!

I absolutely loved working with these two love birds! We started the day with their preparation photography, followed by their beautiful pond-side ceremony at the Mill.  This location was just perfection! For their family and bridal party photography we stayed on the Mill property, though we hopped over to the pretty little garden near the Puslinch Library and Community Centre for Maryse and Matt’s photos.

I love Maryse and Matt’s fondness for Lord of the Rings – their tables were each named after a location in the books, and even their tent itself fit the theme!  And in the evening, we lucked out with a beautiful sunset.  Though we could only run out to the road near the tent to catch the colours, the photos turned out beautifully!

I loved working with this kind, sweet couple, and I wish them nothing but the best in their future together!

When Vanja reached out to me to inquire about her and Mladen’s wedding day, I had a gut feeling that we would be an amazing fit!  Her kindness and sweetness came through in her emails and I couldn’t wait to meet her!

She and Mladen wanted an urban engagement session in Kitchener, with a bit of a darker feel to it, so that is exactly what we did!  The fall weather was chilly but cloudy and perfect for our session!  We had a great time exploring the Kitchener downtown as it was set up for Oktoberfest.

I LOVE how many fun candids we captured with lots of genuine laughter! We’re going to have an amazing time on their wedding day 🙂

Alyssa first reached out to me to book an engagement session for her and her fiance Derek – they hadn’t yet set a date, but they loved my work and wanted to take advantage of the beautiful fall colour while it was at its peak!

We had a lovely shoot in the University of Guelph Arboretum space (one of my favourite spots in Guelph for fall colour!).  Since this shoot, Alyssa and Derek have booked their venue and date, and I am looking forward to photographing them on their wedding day!!

Amanda and Greg’s gorgeous autumn wedding took place at the beautiful University of Guelph Arboretum (one of my favourite places for portrait sessions!).

Amanda first contacted me a few months prior to their wedding day, wondering with fingers crossed if I was free on this particular Saturday for a straight-forward hour of photography coverage of their ceremony, family photos, and bridal party photos.  Though I had a few photoshoots booked, I was able to squeeze their session in as well!  Yes…all of the following photos were captured in just an hour!

We were fortunate to truly have a perfect day for photographs – the leaves had just started changing, and the sun peeked through the beautiful trees during our photoshoot.

Scrolling midway through this gallery will bring you to their beautiful bride & groom photos!  I love what we were able to create, and so quickly too!

Wishing Amanda and Greg nothing but the best!

Scarborough Bluffs Engagement | Fallon + Lio

Fallon & Lio's Engagement

Toronto Wedding Photographer

This past August I had one particularly busy weekend (among many!).  It involved a wedding in St. Jacob’s on Friday, a wedding in Fenelon Falls on Saturday, and THIS stunning engagement session at the Scarborough Bluffs on Sunday.  Some people may think, “poor you, that’s such a busy weekend” – but I LOVE my work.  I love that I get to be outside on gorgeous days, meeting and working with amazing people such as this lovely couple.

I’ve had a few editorial photoshoots at the Bluffs in the past, and I had been craving revisiting this unique waterfront space in Toronto for a lifestyle session of some kind.

Enter Fallon and Lio!  Fallon and Lio found me with Google, and during our video call I was totally smitten with their positive energy and laughter!  They suggested the Bluffs and I was so thrilled!  We met in the parking lot at the Bluffs and immediately hit it off.  Walking around the park we had a great time and took these gorgeous photos.  Love love LOVE these images!

I cannot wait for their wedding day at the Toronto Botanical Gardens!

Send me a message if you’d like to chat about your wedding and engagement photography!

I met up with the lovely Karine and Brian at Huron Natural Area in Kitchener this past summer for their sunset engagement session.

Though I had never been to this particular spot in Kitchener, I have had some commercial photoshoots for a few business in the area, as the park is near an industrial area.  Wow!  I had no idea that this gorgeous space was there – it has everything from fields, to forests, to a lake.  It was the perfect spot for our photoshoot!

Karine and Brian were hilarious and easy going, and it wasn’t hard to capture beautiful photos of them together! I’m looking forward to their wedding day next summer!

Please feel free to send me an email if you’d like to chat about your wedding and engagement photography needs 🙂

Cambridge Farm Wedding Photography | Jess + Bill

Jess & Bill's Wedding

As a photographer, I’m incredibly fortunate to not only be able to do what I love for a living, but to also have wonderful people who come into my life as a result of my work.  I first met Jess and her family back in 2013, when her mum reached out to me via my portrait photography website and hired me to photograph their family at the gorgeous Nith Ridge Estate.

Since that time five years ago, I’ve not only photographed Jess’s family once again, but have also photographed her for her NLP business!  When she and Bill became engaged, I received a message that they would be needing wedding photography.  What was extra awesome is that both she and Bill signed up with my partner Matt for personal training (Titan Training), so prior to their wedding we’d often see each other at his gym as well!  So, don’t be surprised when you see a few flexing shots below 😉

Jess and Bill’s wedding took place on their gorgeous and expansive farm property in Cambridge.  We started the day with preparation photos in their lovely stone farm house and proceeded with an emotional ceremony just outside near their beautiful willow-lined pond.  We used this area and their gorgeous laneway and wheat field for their bridal party and sunset photography.  The night even featured fireworks which were a surprise for their guests!  It was truly a perfect day and I am so honoured to have been a part of it!

Congratulations Jess and Bill! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!

Ema is incredible both in her skill and personality! She sure has unbelievable talent and will FAR exceed any expectations you may have!” – Jessica

Stratford Wedding Photography | Revival House | Michelle + Scott

Michelle & Scott's Wedding

< Back to Weddings

When I first met Michelle and Scott, I knew we would get along.  Not only were they absolutely hilarious, but Michelle was wearing a sweater with a cat on it…be still my beating cat-lady heart!

Michelle and Scott’s November wedding took place in picturesque Stratford.  We started the day at the lovely Bruce Hotel which was a perfect backdrop for their preparation and first look photos.  Michelle is a deeply creative person – her classic Hollywood glam wedding look featured a soft pink dress with a gold overlay that she had embroidered herself!  It was stunning!  To contrast this, all of Michelle’s bridesmaids were in white dresses – I love how they turned the tables on the ‘traditional’ wedding look.

During the preparation, Scott and his groomsmen practiced their flash mob dance for the reception, got ready, and took a few swigs from the “Shotski”!

Once everyone was ready to go, Michelle met Scott during their first look in one of the Bruce’s window lined hallways.  So cute!  We then proceeded to the quite chilly though beautiful Shakespearean Gardens for their bridal party photoshoot!  I loveeee this couples’ sense of humour! I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much at a wedding as I did photographing this wedding party!

After the photoshoot, we headed to the gorgeous Revival House for their heartwarming ceremony and phenomenal reception.  The reception decor also featured beautiful antique plates and teacups that were collected by Michelle in the year prior to their wedding day!  I also loved that Michelle and Scott MC’d their own wedding – they were truly an amazing couple to work with and I absolutely love how they created a beautiful unique wedding that was perfect in every way.

I had a big laugh going through these images again, and I’m sure you will too!

“We hired Ema to photograph our wedding. We were drawn to Ema because of her experience in editorial work and weddings. We requested to meet with her in person and make sure our personalities meshed well. Ema was charming, creative, down to earth, and extremely affable. We were happy to hire her. She was very communicative and always available for quick (and what we worried were maybe silly) questions.

Scheduling our engagement shoot was an easy process. We had a very clear idea of what we wanted to achieve and Ema helped us expand on it, and captured our truest personalities. We had a shoot in the river, and to get the best shots Ema got into the river up to her knees! We were so impressed.

In preparation and on the day of our wedding, Ema was not one of the stressors. She was steady, easily available, positive, happy, and extremely professional. Ema was exactly what we wanted in a photographer: present, but not in the way. Neither added nor detracted from the day, just captured it.

When it came to editing and getting our files, Ema communicated timelines accurately and delivered our files promptly. When we received them we were beyond thrilled. Not only were the photos beautiful, we felt as though Ema saw and captured our true and candid moments.

We wish we could get married all over again if only to have more beautiful Ema photos!” – Michelle
